New Carrier Leads and a Built-In Pipeline: Find Carriers the Day They Register
Every month, more than eleven thousand motor carriers receive new FMCSA operating authority. In the last thirty days it was 11,334.
Almost none of them have a broker yet. They have a truck, an MC number, a phone that is not ringing, and a very strong reason to answer when it does.
The problem has never been that these carriers are hard to find. They are in the public FMCSA census the day their authority is granted. The problem is that by the time most people find them — through a load board, a list someone sold them, or a referral six weeks later — the carrier has already been called forty times.
Two features shipped to fix that.
New Carrier Leads
Fleetstry now tracks the FMCSA census continuously and surfaces carriers as they register. You filter by state and city, set a window, and get the carriers that came online in it — with contact details attached.

What matters here is the Add Date column. That is the day the carrier entered the FMCSA census. On a paid plan you see them the same day. There is no waiting for a monthly list to be compiled, because nothing is being compiled — it is the census, read continuously.
You can also save a search as an alert. Pick "new authorities in Texas with one to five trucks", and Fleetstry emails you when they appear rather than making you check.
Why fleet size is the filter that matters
Most carrier lists let you filter by state. Fewer let you filter by fleet size, and the ones that do usually bucket it — "1–10 trucks", "11–50".
A one-truck owner-operator and a nine-truck fleet are completely different businesses with different needs and different people answering the phone. Fleetstry filters on the exact power-unit count, so "one truck" means one.
A pipeline to work them in
Finding carriers was never the whole job. The reason good prospects go cold is that they get found, written into a spreadsheet, and then forgotten.
So the second half of this release is a pipeline that lives next to the data.

Add a carrier from any search result or profile and it lands on your board. Drag it through your own stages. Notes and follow-up tasks stay attached to the carrier, not to a row in a spreadsheet that someone renamed.
A few things that came with it:
- Notes and tasks on the carrier. Who you spoke to, what they haul, when to call back.
- Tags. Your own labels, not a fixed taxonomy.
- Lead scoring. Fleetstry ranks the board so the carriers worth calling today rise to the top.
- CSV export. It is your pipeline. Take it wherever you like.
The point is not that Fleetstry has a CRM. Plenty of things have a CRM. The point is that the carrier record and the working record are the same record, so the safety rating, the authority status and the phone number are already there when you open the card.
What this costs
Searching and filtering are unlimited on every plan, including Free. What the plans differ on is how many full carrier profiles you can open and how fresh the leads are.
| Free | Pro | Business | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carrier search and filters | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Full carrier profiles | 50 a month | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| New carrier leads | Preview, 90 days behind | Same day | Same day |
| Pipeline, notes, tasks | — | Yes | Yes |
| CSV export | — | Yes | Yes |
| Email sequences, lead scoring | — | — | Yes |
| Team seats | — | — | 5 |
Free is a real plan, not a trial — no card, and it does not expire. The leads preview on Free is deliberately ninety days behind, because same-day access to new authorities is the thing paid plans are for.
Pro and Business both include a seven-day trial. Current pricing is on the pricing page.
The honest version
Fleetstry does not have a relationship with any of these carriers, and neither does anyone else selling you a list. What we have is the public FMCSA census, read continuously and made searchable, plus somewhere to keep track of who you have called.
That is genuinely useful if your job involves finding carriers who are not already spoken for. It is not magic, and a carrier who just got their authority still has to want to work with you.
If that is your job, start with the free plan and look at what registered in your state this week.
